  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Candice Wilcox -- A way to focus on the good!! : A safe place. Pieces of paper won’t talk back. There is a freedom to share thoughts and emotions with judgment. A few books written show this idea. One book “Are you there God it’s me Margaret” , shows a young woman writing letters to God. She shares her feelings and struggles of growing up. After reading this growing up, I began to journal. I loved journaling. It would have been nice to have a book which helped me to focus on good things. It’s never bad to write about bad emotions, but sometimes it's good to focus on the good things happening in one's life! This journal for kids, helps to do just that. On each page you are asked to write three things in which you are grateful. When doing this, you find the good may outweigh the bad. This may help someone to change their day! I recommend this book!! • 5.0 out of 5 stars from V. Stout -- Great talking point for parents : With so much negativity, it is nice to find a book that can teach gratitude in a variety of different ways. I got this for my 5 year old, who is not readying yet, but this has provided talking points for us to discuss gratitude and how she can show it. I also like that it has daily feeling charts, positive questions, and generally just a feeling of positive self-talk. My kiddo may be 5, but she has already shown signs of defeating self-talk, so this is nice to provide a foundation to discuss it, even if she cannot use the journal to physically write in yet. We like talking to her about things she is grateful for, like family, toys, our pets, etc. She’s definitely in the “I want everything” stage, so we can use this book to talk about how we need to be grateful for what we already have. I think once she can write, she would love doing so because she enjoys the conversation. The activities are engaging and help them think a little differently about their world. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from LuvLuxury -- Absolutely amazing! : This book is an amazing tool to use to teach children to be grateful. Life isn't always easy in this world, but when we choose to focus on the good and the things we have to be grateful for, we have less anxiety, better sleep, and find it easier to manage emotions. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Dragonfly -- Great for the Family : After almost two years of COVID, this book is great for the whole family to help focus on not just the positives but things that we're grateful for and help refocus on things to remind us of things that make us happy. Sometimes small positive things can really shape and change things to become better. This book is wonderful and I've included a few of the pages that I'm looking forward to filling out! • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Beth Steffens -- A wonderful first journal with brief but sufficient writing/question prompts : This book was everything I was looking for to gift to my 8 year old niece. Each page has a different question or writing prompt; giving rise to expansive thought and provoking considerations. There are also fun activities like coloring mandalas or funny llamas. If you have a tween who is needing some emotional intelligence guidance, this is a great tool. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2021 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Kathleen Marcum -- Emotional Intelligence is Just as Important as Book Smarts! : Being taught express their emotions in healthy ways is one of the most important lessons for youngsters. With the Fun Gratitude Journal, you're getting a great tool to facilitate that. With daily feelings charts, positive questions, and a whole section dedicated to affirmations, you're not only giving your kid a way to tell you how their feeling, but you're also giving them a good foundation for positive self talk that will help them develop confidence and a good relationship with their own minds! • 5.0 out of 5 stars from tinselseal33 -- Love the idea : I love the idea of kids being able to learn from a young age that they should be mindful of all the things they are grateful for. I was surprised when finding this book because I didn't expect it. Now I know that there should be more books out there like this. It really gives kids a head start.
